Cranial-Sacral Osteopathy for Healing, Learning, & Lasting Change
Dr. Daniel Allen, D.O. offers gentle, transformational hands-on care for pain, stress, and nervous system imbalance for adults, children, and infants, along with in-person trainings in Nevada City, CA.
Creating Space For Healing To Emerge.
Cranial-sacral osteopathy is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that works with the head, spine, and sacrum, listening for the body’s subtle rhythms and the tide of the cerebrospinal fluid. When that natural motion is restricted by stress, injury, or illness, the body often compensates with tension, pain patterns, fatigue, and dysregulation. This form of treatment helps restore ease and balance across the full body system so the nervous system can soften its protective holding patterns and the body can return to its own innate pathway of repair.
Each session is truly personal. Dr. Allen listens intuitively to your body and follows what it’s asking for, not a one-size protocol.
35+ years of advanced hands-on practice. Precise osteopathic and cranial techniques that support structure, organs, and nervous system regulation.
This is deep, whole-body work that supports the nervous system and the body’s natural ability to heal. Because it works at the root, it can support many symptoms in surprising ways.
Some of Dr. Allen’s Specialties Include:
Osteopathic Hands-On Care
Gentle, skilled manual medicine to support pain relief, mobility, and whole-body balance.
Family + Pediatric Care
Support for infants and children, including birth-related strain patterns, sleep/feeding challenges, and developmental support.
Sports + Performing Arts Medicine
For active bodies: performance, recovery, repetitive motion strain, and injury prevention support.
Cranial-Sacral (Biodynamic + Traditional)
For nervous system regulation, stress-pattern release, and deeper integration. Many people notice improved sleep, fewer headaches, and a steadier sense of ease as the body unwinds long-held tension.
Perinatal Care (Birth Preparation + Postpartum Support)
Support for women through pregnancy and postpartum, including birth preparation and newborn care, informed by Dr. Allen’s extensive training in OB/GYN.
Pain + Traumatic Injury Care
Support for injuries and pain patterns including strains, sprains, repetitive stress, and post-trauma holding. This work helps reduce tension, improve range of motion, and support quicker recovery.

Crystal Sound Sanctuary
Dr. Allen’s passion project for healing, nature-connection, and retreats.
Crystal Sound Sanctuary is one of Dr. Daniel Allen’s passion projects, being developed on his family property in Gowanda, New York, a sacred expanse of land held by nature and spacious quiet. The vision is to create a retreat sanctuary where people can recalibrate their nervous systems, reconnect with the natural world, and return to a more grounded sense of health and wholeness. Through future retreats, workshops, and classes, the sanctuary will share practical, approachable education around natural healing, sustainable living, and food generation, grounded in the belief that personal well-being and the health of the planet are inseparable. The property is currently in its early development stage, and we are actively fundraising to build the infrastructure needed to host retreats and community gatherings in the years ahead. Subscribe to the newsletter to receive retreat invitations, sanctuary updates, and ways to support the project as it grows.
