About This Course
Going Deeper: Self vs. Other is the next course in sequence following the Foundations course. This immersive three-day training builds on the skills introduced in Foundations and invites students to go deeper into perception, presence, hands-on practice, and the relationship between practitioner and client.
Set within the natural beauty and sacred landscape of Hawaii, the course is designed as both a training and a retreat. Time in nature, ocean excursions, shared meals, and the slower rhythm of the island create space to step away from the usual pace of daily life and become more available to the work.
Through teaching, discussion, supervised hands-on practice, and time for integration, students will have the opportunity to refine their skills, ask questions, deepen their awareness, and continue developing greater clarity and confidence in their craniosacral work.
The land, ocean, and surrounding natural environment become part of the experience, offering a setting that supports presence, connection, reflection, and a deeper relationship with both self and other.

This retreat is for practitioners or bodyworkers with prior cranial experience, or those who took my first Foundations course. It is both a working person's retreat and a place of study-designed for rest, healing, rejuvenation, and greater refinement of craft.

Dr. Daniel Allen
For more than 35 years, Dr. Daniel Allen has devoted his life to osteopathic medicine and the study of the body’s inherent movement toward health.
His first Cranial Osteopathy course in 1987 opened a lifelong path of inquiry that continues to shape his clinical practice and teaching. His background includes emergency medicine, obstetrics, traditional osteopathic care, and decades of deeply individualized hands-on work.
His teaching is grounded in a simple principle: slow down, listen carefully, and allow the body’s deeper intelligence to reveal the way forward.
Marza Millar, BSN,MA
Dr. Marza Allen, PhD is a lifelong healer, scholar, ceremonialist, and Indigenous lineage holder of Ojibwe and Scottish ancestry, whose work draws on more than five decades of traditional healing, spiritual practice, and study of ancient wisdom—including Egyptian cosmology, archaeoacoustics, vibrational medicine, and the preservation of Indigenous healing traditions—alongside more than 30 years immersed in the traditional wisdom of Hawai'i, from Lomi Lomi and Hawaiian herbal medicine to energetic healing and the restoration of balance between body, spirit, community, and land. Through Black Lotus Academy, she offers private sessions that weave this ancient science and intuitive healing into a highly individualized practice—soul retrieval, herbal medicine, energy clearing, and spiritual counseling—supporting people through spiritual awakening, chronic illness, personal transformation, or other significant life thresholds, always honoring the whole person: body, mind, spirit, ancestry, and relationship with the living Earth.
